Re: Emma Kleinknecht ('36)

As we know, the Bomber families have the power to help the alumni
when needed.

Emma Kleinknecht ('36) was in a car accident on December 31st in
Kennewick and was sent to Harborview Hospital in Seattle. She
suffered several broken ribs, broken pelvis and vertabrae. I am I
touch with her son, Gary and will find out more as the days go on
this week. The doctors will decide Monday whether or not they will
operate. We all need to keep this sweetheart of a lady in our
prayers and thoughts.

-Marilynn WORKING Highstreet ('54) ~ Pasco where it has been a
very mild winter. Will get cooler this week, but still no
snow!! That is just fine for me!!

[There is only one "Emma" listed on the '36 class roster, so I
suspect this is Emma LARSON Kleinknecht ('36) -- that's not yet
been confirmed. -Maren]

Re: Two Freds

How do you remember good friends? No, I can't remember most of the
good times from junior high and beyond, but I do know how I felt
about these 'Freds'. They both, Fred LATENDRESSE ('57-RIP)and
Fred SEGREST ('57-RIP), were quick witted and had lots of friends.
Both had careers of responsibility and authority in high levels
of state government in Washington and Oregon respectively. I
seriously doubt that anyone of the class of '57 didn't like them.
Well maybe a girl or two, but beyond that they were well known and
well liked. There was never a dull moment when they were around.
Fred L. left us in May 2009 and Fred S. in the past several weeks.
I miss them both and wish we had kept in better touch over the
years. After all, as one wise man said, "There comes a time in
life when the things that matter most are relationships."

One of the things I’m most looking forward to when we move back to
Arizona in 2012 is going to see one of your fireworks programs.
I've enjoyed the many articles you've written about your work. We
hope to sell our house in Hawaii in March next year. My wife will
be returning to Arizona in March to look for a house to buy there,
in the Mesa-Gilbert area east of Phoenix.
