Re: Rose Parade

I love watching that! watch it every year... and, always watch
KTLA so that I can enjoy the tidbits of Stephanie Edwards and Bob
Eubanks... I love his knowledge of horses, too. It was so nice to
see the tribute to Roy Rogers... they had family members on the
float, which was a nice touch. Trigger and Bullet on the float was
a nice tribute, too.

I remember Winters in the Gorge... lots of times we'd have so much
snow, we couldn't get up the hill from the little railroad town
of Wishram (if you didn't know it was down below the highway, you
would not know it existed) to go to Goldendale, The Dalles, Hood
River, Tri-Cities or any of the other areas in the Gorge... narrow
roads down into the town and when they'd get icy, we'd be stuck,
cause we couldn't get up the hill... county didn't sand those,
just the main roads in the Gorge... glad you are enjoying the
Gorge... I never liked it... the wind blew 24/7, 365 days a year
and would set my "teeth on edge", was so glad when I finally moved
away from there... was there almost 2 years.

Re: Sagebrush Snowmen

One Christmas, my mom made snowmen out of sagebrush and put them
all over the front yard; she also spray painted some of the
sagebrush silver and hung red, Christmas balls on them... not too
sure my dad was thrilled with her decorations... his idea of
sagebrush was that it was "tumbleweed" and didn't deserve to be
any place but in the dump! *grin*

-Linda REINING ('64) ~ Bakersfield, CA weather can't make up its
mind if it wants to be Winter or Summer. Monday, January 2nd
we had temps in the 80s!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, today, Tuesday,
January 3rd, it is only going to be 60-something. Guess it's
typical for a "La Nina" year, although that and "El Nino"
confuse the heck out of me.

Re: Oh my Darlin'...

My heart is already pounding for this B-day Bomber-babe... not cuz
her computer gotta virus and kept sending me porno sites either...
Actually, her computer is now crashed and she's been limited to
the Public Library where they have limited her access, just in
case she brung the virus with her... Hope she gets a new computer
soon tho as I shore do miss talkin' to her on a regular basis...
but as of my birthday she was emailin' from the library... now I
know this girl is darned popular with the boyz and I was mighty
afraid when she stopped emailin' that she had dumped me... I
shoulda had faith... she's my sweetie and I shoulda knowed it was
just a computer thing... wow, I know we do have phones and snail
mail but I am one a those guys who thinks a long phone call is
somewhere just under a minute... (1) say hi and the obligatory how
ya been (please don't tell me); (2) tell em whatcha need; (3) they
tell ya if they got it; (4) say thanks-throw in "stay well" and
(5) hang up... that is a good call for me... and writing!!!!!!!!
Have you ever seen my writing???????? It would involve another
phone call to ask "What in the world did yer letter say?"... so
fer me this email stuff is really wonderful. Oh yeah, I answer
things I get on Face Book... comments and such that pop up in
my email saying somebody commented on something... but that's
the extent of my Face Book stuff other than to post music and
photos... have no idea how to "chat" or poke or any of the other
stuff I see in there... tried to Chat with one of our '65er
Bomber-babes in the Netherlands since she tried to chat with me
but nothing went thru... so I gave up... easily frustrated...
that's me... So anyway, Here's to my sweetie and "her little dog
too" HAPPY BIRTHDAY Paula Jill LYONS ('64) on your special day,
January 4, 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy New Year to all Bombers everywhere, even really disappointing
ones like Mike DAVIS ('74).

I always appreciate hearing anything from Mike... Thanks for
referring to "meaningless gibberish" in your note. When you have
time maybe you can share examples of meaningful gibberish.

Anyway, as my former best customer Brad UPTON ('74) (cash only,
along with Doug Potter) I am sure can support... there is one
thing we REALLY like about Mike DAVIS; If anyone can think of what
that one thing is please remind us.
