Re: A watch

30 years ago I gave myself a birthday present of a stainless steel
Seiko Quartz watch. I have had it totally reconditioned 3 times as
a preventive, not because it stopped. The last rebuild was 2 years
ago. It should be good for 8-10 years.

I have been looking for another one, to last me probably the rest
of my days. (Either Seiko Quartz or Accutron.) Last Saturday I
spotted exactly what I was looking for. And it was on sale. So for
my 70th birthday I have a new stainless steel Seiko Quartz with a
matching "flex" band.

So what I am getting to here is that I have the old, but rebuilt
quality Seiko Quartz watch with Flex style band.

I will give it to any person with genuine need for a good working
watch. It takes a new battery about every 15-18 months.

Please contact me off this net at my g-mail address.

"Happiness is a new watch"

Re: 911

If I might add to Ellen FOLEY Pope's ('59) most excellent message,
don't hesitate to call 911 and let your local paramedics know you
really appreciate them by employing their services. After all most
of you have been paying to have these services available for some
time. If you are worried about "really needing" the services, the
911 operator (the most under praised, mega stressed occupation)
are trained to screen calls and will assist you in that regard.

Re: Snow

To you snow birds/desert rats: a little photo from the 17th, see
what you are missing up here in the northwest.

Re: A Snow Event

So here we have it, a January Snow event. Snow started falling
about 4am Wednesday [1/18/12] and continued (on and off) into the
afternoon.

I just had to make a trip to the store (8:30 pm) and guess what?
Carmichael Hill is loaded. Of course it is.

That brings up a lot of memories (mostly good) of my trips to
"The Hill". How about the rest of you?

Re: Where would we be without big sisters

I guess... no, I know... I've been way lucky to have a bunch of
friends with really cool big sisters... we got one of them Bomber-
babes having her special day on January 19, 2012! Spent a buncha
time at this girl's house with her little bro, Dale ('65). We wuz
total buds back in the day and spent lots and lotsa time together.
Visiting guys with big sisters always pays big dividends in having
alla them Bomber-babes hangin' around the sister... not that this
babe isn't dividend enough just to be around her. I certainly hope
her day is great and please tell Dale to come outa his shell and
start cumunakatin' with his old pals! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Donna
BOWERS ('63) on her special day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
