Re: Our Class of '62 Reunion scheduled for the
last weekend of August, 2012
I have been encouraged to hear from some of our class who will
be attending, but I am hoping to hear from more. Dean ANSON ('62)
hope you can take time out from your job that you fortunately
love to attend. David DOUGLAS, also from our great class of '62,
believe me you won't be the only one who has changed. I won't go
into detail about the changes in me, but just to get an idea, I
am on a serious diet. Looking forward to seeing absolutely
everyone in our class you can make it...

where we are still blessed with a very mild winter with
almost no snow and very few nights below freezing.

On the 4th of December each year we Red Leg Artillery types,
celebrate St. Barbara Day, she being the Goddess of Fire and
Patron Saint of the Artillery. Every Friday the 13th, South End
boys celebrate St. Felonyous, our Patron. Today, the 27th of
January is the day we celebrate the feast day for Saint Maria
Louisa, the Patron Saint of girls who are interminably cheerful,
did fuzzy sweaters right proud, and spent an inordinate amount of
time in front of sorority standards boards trying to rationalize
a litany of "social indiscretions".
I guess it's only by coincidence that it is also the birthday of
Mary Lou WATKINS ('63), Happy Birthday to one of them fine, fine
Seis Amigas.
-jimbeaux
p.s. One might also note the kinder and gentler Jim HAMILTON ('63)
did not take a cheap shot at the Big Frank members of the Class
of '62, whose Patron Saint Polly Esther is celebrated when they
sup at the Early Bird Special by wearing HushPuppy slip ons,
pastel Ban-Lon shirts, Sansabelt slacks and their signature
Members Only Jackets. Nope, that would have been the "old"
jimbeaux.

Re: Big trubel in little Richland
Oh boy do we have a pair to draw to today (I have no freaking
idea what that means... but they always said it every time
WARFORD ('65) and I came around the police station)... and by
the way... I blew it... my little Netherlands Bomber-babe,
Sharon MARKEL ('65) had her special day on January 26, 2012 and
I missed it... "Well I'm a travelin' man... made a lotta stops...
all over the world... " I made up for it with an email... but no
gold star this year...
So we got two Bomber-babes havin' special days on January 27,
2012 that have made a huge impression on me mosta my life... One
stole my heart in Jr. Hi and ain't never give it back... she is
gentle with it most a the time but she knows she's gotta hold on
me just the same... The other stole the hearts of most of the
class of '65 and then some... almost caused Davis ('65) to have
a heart attack in like 7th grade when I took her to a party... he
was beside himself... "She's way outa yer league"... dang it wuz
a stupud party... I didn't take her to Ideeho ta get hitched or
anything (I think he took that little sicheashun worse than when
I knocked his front teeth out earlier that year... the press was
certainly meaner to him about the tooth thing... "Snaggle tooth
Knox" one tabloid called him)... One almost beat me up this past
December for a teeny tiny infraction of da rules (not like I
wrote "for a good time call..." on the boyz bathroom wall...
oh wait... maybe I did do that... never mind)... the other one
almost beat me up the day I met her when I threw a rock at her
dog, Whitey. Both can beat me up on any given day with one hand
tied behind their backs... (Oh my... whip me... beat me... tie
me up and whisper things in my ear... oh no no... I didn't mean
that)... These two girls know very well they are dear to my heart
and that I love them like there is no tomorrow... Can't get
enough of either one of them and I just can't wait to see them
again five minutes after I leave them... so HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mary
Lou WATKINS ('63) and Laura PARKER ('65) on your special day...
by the way, ML tell my smoking partner that he would really enjoy
the Grand National Roadster Show at the Fairplex in Pomona this
weekend (Friday-Sunday)... I am not steering him wrong... he will
love it... fer reals!

The Class of '72 will be having our 40 year reunion this summer.
The dates are September 7 and 8, 2012, and will be held at the
Shilo Inn in Richland. Please pass the info to the classmates
you've kept in touch with.
We're looking for people to volunteer for the Reunion Committee,
especially chairperson(s) and webpage designer. The previous
webmaster may or may not be available. We'd like to have your
ideas!
I have the addresses used for the 30th - of course, a lot of
these will need to be updated. Please contact me with updated
info and/or to put your name on the committee list. With your
help, it will be the best reunion yet!
Thanks,
-Barb BELCHER Valinske ('72)
