Re: Spudnuts

In Richland yesterday to put flowers on my deceased wife, Marlene
Joyce Farley ('59-RIP) grave site. She passed on 14 years ago on
March 11... and then I got some Spudnuts as a fun treat and on to
Edmonds, WA. for my nephew's birthday. Tough and fun times all in
one trip.

March 12 at 0600 will be my 16th year without a cigarette. I know
if I smoked one, I would be smoking again.

To: Helen CROSS Kirk ('62)

Many thanks for your Birthday wishes, and thanks to David DOUGLAS
('62), too. Helen, I well remember hearing your voice in the dark
on the nighttime tour of the Tower of London, and saying, "Is that
you, Helen Cross?" I am, in fact, headed to London 4/1-4/21/2015.
Looking forward to staying in an Airb&b there in the Bloomsbury
area. Plan to see plays, sightsee, and go to as much art as
possible. And you, when is your next trip!

Re: Book Signings by Kathi Ellis, wife of Tom ELLIS ('60)
    Fundraisers for Dustin Cannady

1st LOCATION: Barnes and Noble Booksellers
              700 Columbia Ctr Blvd., Kennewick
WHEN: Saturday, March 14, 2015
TIME: 1pm - 3pm

2nd LOCATION: Hastings Books Music & Videos
              1425 GWWay, Richland
WHEN: Saturday, March 14, 2015
TIME: 4pm ? 7pm

"Kathleen Ellis [wife of Tom ELLIS ('60)] will be
signing copies of her book "The Darkness Cannot Keep Us
      - Choosing A Better Tomorrow." Kathleen's compelling
story talks about the cellular impacts associated with
abuse. She tells her inspiring story of her own journey
toward wholeness and victory and provides tips to help
others achieve their greatness. 100% of author's
proceeds will be donated to the family of Dustin
Cannady to help with medical and other expenses. Just
for information, this is a fundraiser that Hastings is
allowing us to have. They are not sponsoring the event,
so 100% of the proceeds will be paid to the author. We
will be set up in the Coffee Shop. Because this is not
a Hastings sponsored event, the cost of the books will
be $8, not $12.99. I just want to make that clear. I
appreciate Hastings so much for allowing us to have
      this fundraiser for Dustin there!"

From Kathleen's FB page:
"I will be in the Tri-Cities, WA on Saturday, March
14th having two book signings. The first at Barnes and
Noble, Columbia Center from 1-3 PM and the second at
Hastings in Richland from 4-7 PM. I am donating 100% of
my proceeds from the sale of my book, The Darkness
Cannot Keep Us - Choosing A Better Tomorrow to little
Dustin Cannady and his family to help with medical
expenses. Please come out and support him. The family
needs as much of our help as possible. You can check
      out little Dustin's progress at
  https://www.facebook.com/pages/Dustin-credible/382555555202470

Kathi will be bringing 150 books and would like to be able to sell
them all! Can you please help? I can tell you by a personal read
that the book is well worth the money she is asking for it, and the
money is going for a very worthy cause. This is Kathi's niece's
little boy and any and all help and your prayers will be
appreciated by Dustins family.

So Bombers, let's get roaring with those prayers ? we are the
mighty Bombers and our prayers do get heard!

Thank you so much and Bomber Cheers,
-Judy WILLOX (Classic Class of '61) ~ Richland where the days are
beautiful, the nights are nippy. Typical dessert weather.

his hands are giving him problems... can't feel them...
can't bend his fingers like he should be able to...
trouble getting booties on his dogs. He said it felt
like his fingernails were being "pushed off." Frozen
hands... lost his mittens... Tearfully he said "I love
this sport... I can't do it anymore..."

Mushers can NOT receive "outside" help, but another musher can help
so little brother, Jason Mackey (#72), has chosen to help big
brother do things like get booties on his dogs... and use Lancs's
knowledge and expert ice to see if they can BOTH get back to the
front of the pack before Nome.

Bomber Cheers,
