Got another surprise box of cherries, both Rainier and Bing this year. How I appreciate and enjoy them. Great Bomber friend from past years. -Don LYALL ('52) *************************************************************** *************************************************************** >>From: David DOUGLAS ('62) My special thanks to Carol CARSON Renaud ('60) and Steve CARSON ('58) for planning the Puget Sound area Bomber luncheon around my trip to the Northwest to visit my brothers. It was a delightful experience to visit with fellow classmates. Among others, I enjoyed seeing Rosann BENEDICT ('63), a fellow Sandstorm staff member who shared the honor with me of being admitted to the staff as a sophomore. A special treat was seeing Peter BEAULIEU ('62) again, who told some stories about me that I didn't remember. After the luncheon Rosann and Peter accompanied me to the Holyrood Catholic Cemetery to pay our respects to Peter's wife Kristi and my high school love Patty BEZZIO ('63-RIP), a very nostalgic moment for me. I also enjoyed spending six hours visiting with fellow classmate Sandra GENOWAY Jeneaue ('62), catching each other up on our lives and sharing stories of Patty BEZZIO. I didn't know Sandra when we were in school, but we became acquainted first through e-mails as she was a friend of Patty in her adult years. Sandra is confined to her apartment building due to severe allergies and asthma. Her husband passed away and Sandra is very lonely and would love to hear from fellow Bombers. She's currently without Internet access but would like me to share her phone number. Please e-mail me if you would like to give her a call and I'll reply with her phone number. I didn't have time to visit with Diane ZELLEY ('63), the one girlfriend who is still living, but I did talk to her on the phone. I was surprised when she said she didn't consider me her boyfriend, although we dated for eight months and she took me on a Tolo date, perhaps because six of those months she shared me with Patty, one of her best friends. I was happy that she was willing to talk to me. I was expecting her to explode. http://alumnisandstorm.com/Obits/pics/RIP63BezzioPatty98.htm -David DOUGLAS ('62) ~ Mesa, AZ where the temperatures are finally going to exceed 100 after a very mild spring *************************************************************** *************************************************************** >>From: John FLETCHER ('64) Hey Bombers, I will be attending the Mon-Wed practice rounds at Chambers Bay (US Open) next week. If any Bombers will be there, let's meet up. -John FLETCHER ('64) *************************************************************** *************************************************************** That's it for today.
