was beginning to think I had dreamt about Michael PETERSON('77)
singing a song about Richland. *grin*

Re: Hips

am recuperating from having my left hip completely replaced, was
done on the 4th of this month... not "bouncing" back as quickly
as they had predicted, but am sure my age has a lot to do with
that... takes longer for these old bones to knit back together.
*grin* doctor said I can expect 3-4 months of recovery, then,
he'll replace my right hip. said if my "ticker" had been in
better condition, he would have done both hips at the same
time... right hip is completely gone, left was almost gone...
left hip done first, since it was the one giving the most pain.
not sure how the heck a person would get around, IF both hips
were done at the same time... using a "walker" is hard enough,
with one hip working, can't imagine trying to walk with both
hips "on the mend". so far, the only real difficulty has been
getting in and out of bed and remembering not to bend or twist
and to keep body, straight, when laying in bed. am happy to say
that I have only needed to take pain pills, twice since being
out of the hospital... it hurts, but nothing that "grinning and
bearing" can't "fix". *grin* the goal is to have two new hips,
by the end of January, then the "bucket list" is to go "white
water rafting", this Summer with family, down the Snake River in
Idaho.....can't wait.

Re: David RIVERS ('65) on the Hole in one
"... it's where the puck goes over the goal post without
touching the backboard on the first pitch..."

Thanks for the reminder.

I keep forgetting where the puck goes over or under the goal
post. I ought to write that down so I won't forget again.
