It was designed and presented by Pyro Spectaculars out of Rialto, CA. A very large World Class Co. I worked for them for 5 years, left them, and then turned around and bought their NW Operation. Bridge displays are rare, difficult, (a lot of work) and each is different, both physically and in the resulting fireworks. There were about 16 very experienced technicians on the crew. While some of the aerial pyro product was from China, most of the items were very high quality from Spain. All the low level items were from Spain and the waterfall candles were from Portugal. This was a very classy show. The link below has a really nice video of the entire display. Tilikum Crossing, Portland, fireworks -J. The major issue now is the air quality - VERY limited visibility in all directions, and that rather orangish - brown air - though it WAS clear enough for an hour or two this evening to get out on the tractor lawn-mower, and mow the ?foot-long grass…. We wear the masks when were outside - usually. The scariest day was Wednesday, I think, - with the wind gusts over 50 mph, and the ash blowing like a blizzard. Little communication available, and it seemed often to me that we were on our own. Thanks, ALL, for your concern. We're safe now, and we've yet to hear about how many and who lost their homes, and I can only imagine the pain they're feeling. -Peg SHEERAN Finch ('63) P.S. John MORRIS ('63) called to say he and his place are fine within 5 miles of the Canadian border - NCW (NE of Chesaw). *************************************************************** *************************************************************** >>From: Carol CONVERSE Maurer (Magic Class of '64) Re: Washington Fires... With the fires around Omak, I've been wondering about how Susie GUNDERSON Chiles ('61) and Bob CHILES ('58) are fairing. Has anyone heard from them? -Carol CONVERSE Maurer (Magic Class of '64) ~ Kennewick keep praying for all the Fire Fighters *************************************************************** *************************************************************** >>From: David RIVERS ('65) Re: the morning after So here we are all back home in our usual surroundings still grinning from ear to ear over the wonderful weekend and counting the days till we can do it again... It's been many years since Ricky WARFORD ('65) suggested we meet every year instead of every five, but of course the turn out isn't the same on those off years... it's great but wow... I mean to have Kenny Rogers (well before he looked like Phyllis Diller) come up and pat me onna butt to see if I was packin'... wow... Dicky RHODES ('65) has the look down pat... now comes the realization that we shoulda taken instant pix with names so we could label alla pix on face book... I can only say that as lawyer, thankfully I have no ego, because if I hadda nickel for every girl that told me she didn't have a clue who I wuz... I'd have a pocket fulla nickels... now who cares if the guys don't know you... but every Bomber-babe counts big time... I'm told that not only did WARFORD pay this time... he was billed for all past 5 year reunions... wooo hooo... big bucks! Today is the b-day of a guy who never has trouble being recognized... as an artist he is quite well known and rightly so (by the way, if you missed HEIDLEBAUGH's ('65) Nationally award winning art work I feel badly)... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Richard TWEDT ('64) on your special day, August 26, 2015!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -David RIVERS ('65) *************************************************************** *************************************************************** That's it for today.
